The Best Short Documentary I’ve Seen

As a filmmaker I am always torn between fiction and documentary and hate to confine myself to either. If there is a story that needs telling or a theme that needs exploring, we need to work out first which is the most effective. Different horses for courses type of thing.

But as a kid fiction is what use to inspire me and created my passion. With age, documentaries have taught me more about the world I live in and the people that inhabit it. Two very noble goals that shaped me deeply.

I stumbled across this documentary roughly about a year ago, but alas didn’t have anywhere to really showcase it. Its called “l’equip petit” a short Spanish documentary by El Cangrejo. It follows a youth football team called Margatania F.C. I won’t ruin it but there is something special about this team.

The reason why I love this documentary is because it combines what I love about the two genres of filmmaking into one film. It inspires the child in my and motivates the adult. Also with the videos in my pervious post here, this is one of the video that if I ever have a crisis of faith I come back too.

A must watch for anything battling hard to achieve their dream.
